One the most valuable things I have learned on my journey so far is staying non-reactive in situations that trigger me. I also would say the same about people who trigger me. By understanding why I felt trigged helped me to realize that I am in charge of how I allow this to make me feel.
In the video below I share how I’ve learned to stay non-reactive:
A Course in Miracles says: In my defenselessness lies my safety.
When I am defending myself I get caught up in the energy of what is triggering me, which doesn’t allow me to consciously choose how I want to respond. Instead, I’ll react and the situation will explode into something I don’t want to experience.
I use my go to mantra as my anchor to remind myself that everything I witness is a call to my expansion. I am being called to expand beyond my perceptions of what is – to the miracle this moment has to offer. The miracle is shift in perception, helping me realize to protect my energy and stop entertaining any energy that doesn’t elevate me in a loving way.
What’s your go to mantra to keep yourself anchored when you feel triggered?
Be patient. Be gentle. Be kind.
